Posted by BugsAjax - 7 days ago

so recently one of my friends blocked me (prolly for saying that i dont like yaoi what the frick!!!!!!!) but i got over it.

anyways recently the internet has been getting more and more boring. i dont really have online friends other than on discord and roblox, i keep thinking about rejoining a website i left like last year, where i met a lot of friends but i also dont want to because i also was kind of addicted to it one point, i wanted attention, but i also never really got attention other than if i threatened suicide (wtf)

or made a new acc after my old one got deleted. i even cried sometimes because i never got attention, but also the site was full of weirdos, and it was hard to quit. now, i do not know what to do, i also need to get my fucking life together

also my parents and psychologist think i got adhd

This seems like hard time buddy, i send you strenght, maybe try minecraft roleplay, I heard there were great communities, I don't play it myself but I heard people meetings good friends online there.

I am not a medical professional, but I feel it's better to be direct here: Your parents and psychologist might be right. Before you take medication, a second opinion could be a good idea. (And maybe some additional self-discipline/-restraint if you haven't been taking those sessions serious before...)

The reason I'm telling you this is because medication that is commonly used in ADHD-treatment will improve the grades you get at school, but will have side-effects. 'Certain parents' are hoping for their child to legally receive access to said medication to "help" their kid - and their child's chances on the future job market. Long story short: Those plans might 'not' work out the way those parents hoped.

If you 'need' the medication, by all means: Accept it! But consider the chance that there are other forces at play here. Be present during the times your psychologist schedules with your parents. If they lack the cerebral capacity to understand what will happen to you it might screw you over in the long run. Maybe even for life.

ADHD-medication can help you focus, but it won't make you "smart".
Consider watching 'Limitless' (2011) ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limitless_(film) ) or read the book ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Fields ). Depending on your point of view, this is a fun power-fantasy 'or' a dark story of substance dependency and being pressured to succeed. But most viewers will only ever see the first perspective.

Please do your own research before you just parrot what I just said. Wikipedia is your friend. It is _important_ that you understand these things yourself and don't just repeat somebody's bottom-line. In part because "somebody on the internet said" will be immediately discarded as 'an opinion' - rather than 'fact'.

·
Also: Try to find offline-friends to relate to in your region. Once the servers go down somewhere, you will, in all likelihood, become _permanently_ disconnected from friends who were part of that particular community, because you no longer have the game/website you bonded over.

From the wording of your post I infer that you have next to no (or no) offline friends.
One of the things that will become harder with age is making actual friends. Friends who really know 'you' - who know more about you than you are sharing on your own accord. Plus: If you talk to your peers the way you present yourself on the internet you'll run the risk of becoming an instant outcast for however long you visit that particular school. 2 years? 4 years? Maybe 5? A year is a long time at your age - and it will feel even longer if you struggle to relate to others.

·
Addendum: Oh, and the 'internet thing'? That's normal. You develop a palate/taste, so "slop" no longer feels satisfying. Seek out different/"better" content... Read reviews before you start watching a show... Those kinds of things.
