As an example: I feel a degree of guilt for not "actively participating" in the defense of Ukraine. But I am also a pacifist. I couldn't kill an animal, let alone a human. The whole concept of armed conflict is insane. 'Killing people until one side gives up' is hardly a good way to determine which side is in the right or who should be in control of territory.
